Ian studied Music and Sound Recording at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK. As part of the course he worked for 15 months full time at Air Studios, London where he worked with top engineers and artists from around the world.
After graduating in 2006 he started his freelance career by returning to Air Studios followed by Strongroom and Breathe Post Production. Since then he has recorded and mixed music in 5.1 for films, stereo for TV and adverts and music edited for film.
In the live world Ian has toured around the UK and worldwide as a sound engineer and production manager. He mixes front of house sound, stage monitor sound - specialising in in-ear monitoring - and records concerts for commercial release.
